This FREE 3 hour course offers an introduction to the 3 basic composting systems that can be used in the home and garden; traditional composting bins, worm farms and Bokashi buckets.
The purpose of this course is to encourage people to minimise their waste – ideally turning it into useful compost to be used in your garden.
On completion of the course, each household receives a $23 discount voucher to use when purchasing a composting system from the Kaipatiki Project.

Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre
The Kaipatiki Project is your Environment Centre on the North Shore.
We are well-known for our work with regeneration projects and environmental education. We are based in Birkdale (near Glenfield College).
Hundreds of volunteers help us each year to grow around 20,000 trees and to plant around 15,000 trees. We organise around 130 volunteer events each year.
